Maria was born in Tokyo and moved to the Seattle area when she was 7 years old. With the sudden change in culture, languages, and community, she turned to art and music as an outlet to express emotions that were challenging to put into words.
Today, she uses these experiences to cultivate inclusive environments in both her personal and professional life, and enjoy collaborating with creatives and developers in the life-long quest for building accessible products and design.
